The “Why” Matters
Sometimes it takes a village.
It’s a phrase people say often, usually when talking about raising kids. But I’ve learned it applies to so many other parts of life too.
Most people are carrying more than anyone realizes.
Work. Kids. Homes. Schedules. Responsibilities. Expectations.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, we’re supposed to take care of ourselves too.
For a lot of people, the everyday things at home slowly start to pile up. Not because they don’t care, but because there are only so many hours in a day and only one of them to carry it all.
I know that feeling well. There was a time in my life when everything suddenly felt heavier.
After my husband Charlie had a life changing injury, life didn’t stop the way you might think it would. The world kept moving. The house still needed to run. Laundry still had to be done. Meals still needed to be made. The everyday responsibilities didn’t pause just because life had become harder.
And then something simple happened. A woman came into my home and helped with the small things. She helped with laundry. She helped with everyday tasks. She helped take care of the little things that had quietly started to feel overwhelming.
Nothing about what she did was dramatic or flashy. But the impact of it was bigger than I can easily put into words. When someone steps in and helps carry a small part of your load, it changes how your whole week feels.
It reminded me that sometimes people don’t need something big. Sometimes they just need someone to help with the everyday. That experience stayed with me.
Around that same time, someone said something to me that I’ve carried ever since. They told me, “If you focus on serving people well, God will take care of the rest.”
It was a simple statement, but it stuck with me. Not because it was about business, but because it was about the way we show up for people.
That idea became part of the foundation of All Clean Residential Services. Serve people well.
Help carry a little of the load when life gets heavy. Take care of the everyday things that start to pile up. Create breathing room for people in their homes and in their lives.
And trust that if we focus on serving people the right way, the rest will take care of itself.
Because sometimes it really does take a village.
And when it does, we’re here to help.
